Hands On

A few months ago I mentioned a project that I have spent a year working on. I called it Hands On, and it is a portrait project that focusses on women in New Zealand that make things by hand. Creative Communities NZ was very generous and provided some funding for me to work on this project, and it has been a completely wonderful experience from start to almost-finish.

Yesterday I was very excited because Fabricate magazine featured my work for Hands On in a three page spread. I am so happy with how it looks, and how it celebrates the work of the women involved.

Over the next month I am going to post about each of the women whom I photographed and show you their work. I hope you will be as inspired by them as I was!
