An Unintentional Tradition

It seems that I have made Molly a knitted toy each year. The first one was a bear, I gave it to her on her first birthday. I loved it more than she did but it gets some good playtime 3 years on.

The next year I made her a little hedgehog, this one has been used a lot, mainly as a missile!IMG_0145

Then in 2013 I did a whole year of handmade gifts (it was somewhat fraught by December – I was running out of ideas and time!). I made Molly this giant bunny for Christmas and it has slept in her bed ever since. She loves him. He has no name but is very well-cuddled.IMG_8761So this year I made a tiny bunny for her birthday. I have to say, even if I do say it myself, that this little rabbit is just about too cute. She has a little pair of stripy tights, buckled shoes, and her dress can come off so she can change her outfit. Which means I am now obsessively making tiny clothes for a toy rabbit (and I don’t regret a minute of it).

I have plans for this bunny to get her own stocking this Christmas and maybe even a tiny toy…I just need to find another 6 or 7 hours of free time a day.

Have a happy weekend!
