Just before Christmas last year I decided that Molly would enjoy an advent calendar. When my sister and I were little we had one made of fabric with little pockets that were embroidered with numbers for the months. There was a little embroidered goose that could be moved along from pocket to pocket until we got to Christmas morning. It was a fierce competition each day to be the first one downstairs to move the goose.
So I have been making an updated version of this goose-advent for Molly.
I am slowly (too slowly now that we are in October) making little felt objects that will be added to a fabric tree one day at a time over December. Since taking this photo I have ditched the two baubles as they were made too quickly and had a rushed, rough look about them. Here are some little shots of some of the wee things that I have finished…
And of course a little goose. I have about 6 more things to make, and then I have allowed a month to get the Christmas Tree background completed, ready for the first of December. I am really in love with this project. I hope Molly likes it.
