Advent Calendar

Just before Christmas last year I decided that Molly would enjoy an advent calendar. When my sister and I were little we had one made of fabric with little pockets that were embroidered with numbers for the months. There was a little embroidered goose that could be moved along from pocket to pocket until we got to Christmas morning. It was a fierce competition each day to be the first one downstairs to move the goose.

So I have been making an updated version of this goose-advent for Molly.


I am slowly (too slowly now that we are in October) making little felt objects that will be added to a fabric tree one day at a time over December. Since taking this photo I have ditched the two baubles as they were made too quickly and had a rushed, rough look about them. Here are some little shots of some of the wee things that I have finished…
