A friend of mine recently moved from his old house, but before leaving he stripped the prolific lemon tree of all its fruit and divided it up between a few friends.
I think he filled 4 shopping bags, so many lemons! We ended up with 21 of them.
Twenty-one lemons will go a surprisingly long way.
Two went into a tart cake. Nine went into over a litre of lemon-curd, and a further two went into lemon and coconut muffins.
I then used the rest in endless cups of lemon and honey tea when I got the flu. I have never had real flu before, and I never want to have it again.
