New Pattern – Hot and Cold Cowl

The Hot and Cold Cowl was born from a determination to use every last inch of two single skeins in GGH soft kid mohair that were languishing in my stash. Even the largest size needs only 150 yards, very economical knitting! I embellished each cowl with something pretty that accented the yarn. One got glass beads, the other sequins. You can customise this pattern to use whatever embellishments take your fancy.

The lace pattern is a very simple one to memorise which means that this cowl is a good introduction for those who have previously been hesitant to try knitting lace. If you can work a yarn-over and a simple decrease then you can knit this cowl!

Oh how beautiful! So subtle and cute. And I love the beads & sequins – they really add a little extra something to the lace pattern. (:
