I have just realised that it’s June! This means that I have a huge craft market to prepare for on the 29th, and I don’t have much spare time at the moment!
I went last year and had a blast. There were so many wonderful stalls, I could have spent a small fortune. If you are in Auckland that weekend I would recommend a visit, come and say hi too!
So, in order to have some new and excellent stock for this market I need to make the following:
- 2 messenger bags with coffee sack fronts
- 3 coffee sack tote bags, lined with cotton
- 3 colour burst brooches
- 4 cushion covers
- 6 project bags
- 2 new knitting patterns tested, photographed and published
And that is all with a deadline of…3 weeks basically. Along with teaching, taking care of Molly and keeping the house liveable. Panic stations! I need minions.
I do have a number of beautiful new (and rescued) things to work with though. Some vintage textiles, which are currently having a hot-water soak in the sink, some gorgeous variegated thread and matching woollen felt squares, and some little ceramic buttons.
Wish me luck! I had better get sewing!
