It’s nothing major, but this week I logged on to read a blog that I love but haven’t checked in on for a while. The writer is a lovely woman who I know personally and very much admire. She doesn’t live here anymore! She is well and happy and doing hugely well with life but I didn’t know she wasn’t still in the same country and for some reason I felt instantly sad that such huge things can happen so quietly in the background and be so permanent.
This mini-sadness followed on from a week fraught with yet more medical tests and appointments that leave me feeling drained and humiliated, so I decided I needed a bit of distraction and motivation! Craft is my go-to solution for these situations. My task, and I’d love it if you wanted to join me, is to do a little bit of something every day for both work and pleasure over the next month. I have been making a lot of progress as a result!
Here are some images of the work stuff:
And here is the crafting that was just for pleasure:
A lot less of it than the work stuff, but very pleasing none-the-less. And yes! Baking counts as crafting! I made some Anzac biscuits from the Little and Friday cookbook. They were really good! Hence the nighttime photo…I knew they wouldn’t last until morning and I wanted proof that I made them. The knitting is my Alouette sweater. It isn’t turning into a sweater as fast as I would like, but they yarn is soft and the colour changes and stitch pattern keep it interesting.
Let me know if you decide to post about your crafting for the week, I’d love to see your work!
