Birthdays and Blindness

My Brother-in-Law had a birthday recently, and I always struggle a bit with handmade gifts for men. So I went for the safest choice and made dinner! I was pleased that it worked for once! My cooking skills are minimal and a little unreliable.

And there has also been some crafting and some walking and photographing…in focus for the first time in ages! After talking to a friend I worked out why I have been so much trouble with my camera recently. Molly had been playing with the focus calibration wheel and adjusted it waaaay out of my range of focus! Seriously, I had found a number for an optometrist to get my eyes checked as I thought I was going blind!

The fibre on the spindle is merino in the ‘Paua’ colourway from Mishi Yarns. So pretty and very enjoyable to draft and spin, especially with the colour changes to hold my attention!

Look at the newly acquired focus on my latest walk…

Can’t believe I didn’t work this out earlier. What an idiot!
