Procrastination

I am glad I didn’t do it last week! I had five days to complete two custom orders and create a new line of stock for the TSG markets, and had I not forced myself to be organized I would have been embarrassingly behind with everything today.

I threw my back out two days before the markets and it left me completely unable to work for 48 hours! I didn’t have quite as much stock as I would have liked for the markets, but it ended up being fine. I think my table looked appropriately minimalistic and stark.

Being unable to sit at my sewing machine meant that I had to keep busy doing other things. So I spent a couple of mornings making a few new flower brooches,
and designing a new kind of brooch. I like the blending of colours in my hollyhock flower pins and I wanted to create something using that idea. This is what I came up with…

I am calling these my colour burst brooches. They are really striking on winter coats, and are made with hundreds of tiny french knots in four tones of each colour.
I also had a colourful winter walk with Molly earlier in the week. One that ended up being largely orange and blue.

Hope you are keeping warm wherever you are! Keep an eye out for a shop update soon…lots of new things to tempt you!
