Fairy Magic

I just filled an order of eighteen embroidered fairy wands for The Fairy Shop in Ponsonby. These were a lot of fun to make although they did take a long time, I felt like a one-woman factory line for a while there!

I hope the little people who buy them enjoy them as much as my own little girl does!

Today was very productive actually. I also dropped off an order of large floor cushions made from my upcycled coffee bean bags to KOKO Classics in Mt Eden. They have the most amazing range of new
and restored industrial furniture, I am pretty thrilled that my humble cushions are being stocked there!
Here is one with a small person included for scale:
I was lucky enough to find a huge pile of unwanted coffee bean sacks at a roasters this afternoon too, they gave me these for nothing and I had my little helper sort through them while there was a bit of sunshine earlier.
They are very dusty and dirty when I first get them so they don’t come inside before getting a bit of a shake down!
I have also been doing a fair bit of walking and here are the latest photos…

I often get strange looks from other walkers when I am taking photos like that last one. Usually the whole scene looks far from picturesque and I must look odd crouched by a cold fence with one foot stopping Molly’s buggy from rolling away, trying to take pictures of bits of moss. But I really do love noticing things and recording them. Who cares what other people think anyway!
