Keeping Cosy

My lastest upcycling obsession is turning vintage woollen blankets into various cosy things. I say various, although I have only made tea cozies so far. Very snuggly ones! I have been scouring second hand shops to find these blankets and I have found some great bargains. Some of the blankets were still in such good condition that I have kept large sections to make into couch blankets or throws, they were just too good to cut into little pieces.

But some of them had worn patches or discoloured bits, these are the ones that I have been turning into cozies, carefully choosing the still-good sections and giving them a second chance at life!

I have lined them with vintage fabrics so that they are entirely made of repurposed materials. Then, because I liked them so much, I made a small stack of CoffeeTea-Cozies too!
These will be coming with me to the next MoAD markets at Tyler St Garage at the end of the month (I had a great day there last time and I’m very excited to be invited back!). I am also working on some new designs which I will post about closer to the time.
I am going to have to keep one of these cozies for myself, but which one?
