A Happy Week

I feel as though I have had some success from my hard work this week, which is a great feeling actually! I have a couple of orders for my handmade bits and pieces, and I was interviewed by Viva magazine. Eek. It feels real all of a sudden.

Anyway. There was also a sister’s birthday to celebrate! I made her a little grey woollen cushion with a hand appliqued owl. I think I will sneak it back and add some embroidered words though. It looks a tiny bit empty.

The fabric for the cushion was from my sister in the first place, it was originally a winter dress that hardly ever got worn. I was the lucky scavenger and I turned it into a present for her. I am making some more little bird patches to take to the Titirangi Handmade market this Saturday too. Come along and have a look if you are free!
Then there were some walks, one of them ended up being very interesting with autumn leaves and an elephant!
