Well, F*ck.

So I had to buy another massive ball of wool for the tiny cardigan that will not end (because I can’t stand knitting it for long enough stretches to get anything much done). I was lucky to find one now that the yarn has been discontinued though. The lovely Mishi Yarns had 4 left in stock and I picked one up last knit-night.

I have been slowly crawling towards the finish on this. The body and one sleeve is completed and I cast on for the second sleeve straight away to try and avoid second-anything syndrome.

My stash is in no way diminishing despite my knitting efforts and the Year of Handmade. This irks me. Not only are the under-bed bins still pretty much full, but I have just realised that hand-spun counts as stash too. For some reason I was labouring under the delusion that, even when spun, thwacked, washed and skeined, hand-spun was still ‘fibre’.

So, here are my extras.

I have found a pattern that should be quick and suitable for some of it though. A very wee baby jacket, sweet and detailed and only needs one skein. Might have to make 4 of them! More on that another time though.

Some head-shots because hah, this is my blog and I can spam it with whatever I like.

2 ply fingering weight merino
woollen singles
2 ply dk weight mystery wool

I have also been doing some sewing and I have updated my shop with these little aprons made of pretty cotton. I am hoping they will make some little cooks very happy!
