Startitis

I have started way too many projects over the last little while and this has resulted in a lot of unfinished objects cluttering up my craft room and making me feel twitchy. I need to finish some things!

Here is what I have on the go…

Merino and silk laceweight…one bobbin of singles completed. One bobbin to go, then plying, etc.

A William Morris design tapestry. This was bought and started ages ago and is still hanging about. It will be gorgeous on our new couch so I must finish it.
The tie. Ends need weaving in and then it needs blocking.
A pink cardigan for Molly in a lovely vintage pattern. I think this will be one of my favourite finished objects when it is actually done, but for some reason the size of the needles combined with this particular yarn really hurt my hands. I keep putting it down after only one or two rows. At this rate she will have outgrown it before it’s off the needles.
And then there is one lonely sock whose ends aren’t even woven in. This was my first (and so far only) sock and I really like it, it fits and everything. But I just never cast on the second one! And it has been well over a year. Maybe two. Time to get going. I think I will motivate myself to finish the pair by learning to use the magic loop technique for the second one. That way I can learn how to knit socks two at a time for when I want to knit another pair!
So. Before I cast on anything new I must finish at least one of these things!
I’ll just ignore the fact that yesterday I pre-washed enough fabric to start making 4 baby quilts.

I live in New Zealand with my daughter and husband. I take photos, I knit, I design knitting patterns, and I try and live thoughtfully (whatever that means on any given day).
