Falling off the Wagon

I was doing pretty well with my intention of stashing down. Until a couple of days ago when I fell off the wagon and bought home 4 balls of yarn from my local yarn shop, (they are within walking distance. It’s dangerous.) and 2 from Spotlight.

Here are the semi-welcome intruders to the stash bins.

I bought these just because I loved them.
These were a cheap(ish) purchase for a pattern I am test-knitting.

As lovely as they are, I am disappointed with myself! I have undone all my good progress. I was enjoying seeing the bins slowly empty and seeing FOs appear almost for free (in the sense that I bought most of my yarn a while ago, so have since forgotten paying for it). Still. I am getting there in spite of myself and four balls are completely gone now.

I will be better from now on!

And as for living more thoughtfully, I am still making a good effort. I brought my neighbour’s bin in, and I made sure to text a friend who was starting a new job and wish her luck. Small things that could easily not have been done, but that I did make an effort to do.

Back on the stash-down wagon again.
